2025 Emmys Pickleball Slam Charity Event: The 2025 Emmys Pickleball Slam raised over $100,000 on Sunday, May 18, at the Calabasas Pickleball Club in Calabasas, California. The event supported the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firefighter’s Fund and the Television Academy Foundation’s education programs. Television stars, athletes, firefighters, and industry leaders played in the all-day tournament.

A Full Day of Support and Fun

The Emmys Pickleball Slam brought together well-known TV personalities, sports figures, and firefighters for a friendly doubles pickleball tournament. The event included red carpet arrivals, a beginner-friendly pickleball clinic, matches across three skill levels, live auctions, and an awards afterparty.

Proceeds from the tournament will help the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firefighter’s Fund’s Wildfire Fund. This fund supports firefighter families affected by the January 2025 fires. Part of the money will also go to the Television Academy Foundation’s educational programs, which help students and young professionals in the TV industry.

Champions Named Across all Levels

Three winning teams were recognized during the awards celebration held after the tournament:

  • Beginner Division: Ryan O’Nan and Beata Pozniak
  • Intermediate Division: John Quinn and Chris Ahearn from Let’s Make a Deal
  • Advanced Division: Maggie Brascia and Kristen Flagler

The tournament was a celebration of sport and giving. Tina Perry, Chair of the Television Academy Foundation, thanked everyone who contributed.

“Our heartfelt thanks to all the celebrities, athletes, firefighters and sponsors whose participation and generosity made this event a true celebration of purpose. Their energy, enthusiasm, and compassion made this event unforgettable; and, more importantly, impactful as it furthers the missions of both the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firefighter’s Fund and the Foundation.” – (Tina Perry)
