PATH Pickleball Camp: Partners Aligned Toward Health will host its fourth annual free pickleball camp for kids from June 16 to June 19. The camp is open to students from kindergarten through grade 10. It will be held in scheduled time blocks by grade level, and registration is now available online.
Fun, Fitness, and Learning for Kids
The camp offers children a chance to learn pickleball, one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States. The sport mixes tennis, ping pong, and badminton and is played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. The camp is free and aims to promote fun and fitness in a welcoming setting.
Each age group will have a one-hour session. Children in kindergarten through grade 2 will meet from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Those in grades 3 through 5 will attend from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. The final group, made up of students in grades 6 through 10, will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Help Needed from the Community
Partners Aligned Toward Health is also asking for volunteers to help during the camp. Volunteers do not need to have any pickleball experience to assist. The goal is to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all children attending.
This annual event encourages young people to stay active and try something new over the summer break. It also brings the community together through teamwork and positive recreation.
