Willow Creek Park Pickleball Court Opening: The new pickleball court at Willow Creek Park in Redgranite will open to the public on Sunday, June 2, 2024. This announcement was made by Redgranite Public Works Lead Jim Fredrich during the Redgranite Village Board meeting on May 19.
The new court adds to the recreational options available in the park and is the result of strong community support and over $54,000 in donations.
Court Nears Completion
Jim Fredrich told the board that the court has been coated with three layers. He also said, “the topsoil and seeding will be completed soon.” A fence is already being set up around the court and is almost finished. A sign will also be added to remind the public that skating or roller-blading is not allowed on the court.
Special Thank You Lunch for Donors
To show thanks to those who helped pay for the court, a special lunch will be held the day before the public opening. The event is scheduled for Sunday, June 1, 2024, at Willow Creek Park. It will begin at 10:00 a.m., and lunch will be served at noon.
This private meal is only for people who donated to the court project, Redgranite employees, and members of the Redgranite Village Board.
New Recreation Option for the Community
The pickleball court is a major upgrade for Willow Creek Park and the village. It gives residents a new place to stay active and enjoy time outdoors.
By opening this court, the village shows its support for healthy living and fun in the community. It also honors the teamwork of donors, workers, and local leaders who helped make it happen.
