Mayor Jim Ross Serves Up Excitement at ACTIV Arlington’s Pickleball Courts

ACTIV Arlington’s Pickleball Courts: Mayor Jim Ross joined the latest episode of Explore Arlington to play pickleball at ACTIV, a recreation center for adults aged 50 and up. The visit took place at ACTIV’s location on 2061 West Green Oaks Boulevard in Arlington, Texas.

A Center Made for Community Fun

ACTIV is a modern recreation space focused on helping older adults stay active and social. The center includes an indoor pool, a gym, fitness rooms, a walking track, special events areas, and even a garden and outdoor patio.

The full-court gym has four indoor pickleball courts for members. These courts allow year-round play, no matter the weather. For everyone in the community, six outdoor courts are also available. These are located in Centennial Park near a walking trail and patio.

A Mayor’s Message

During his visit to ACTIV, Mayor Jim Ross got a chance to play on the pickleball courts. He shared his excitement about the sport and encouraged others to get involved.
