John’s Run/Walk Shop will host the JRWS Nightfall Pickleball tournament on June 11 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Pickleball Paddock, located at 968 Enterprise Court in Lexington, Kentucky. The event, sponsored by ASICS, costs $15 to enter and gives teams the chance to win free court shoes.
The first 16 teams of two who register will play in a single-elimination tournament. The winners will each get a pair of ASICS court shoes. The second-place team will win gift cards to John’s Run/Walk Shop. All participants will be entered into a gift card drawing.
Intro Session and Extra Play Time
New players are welcome, too. There will be a 30-minute introduction to pickleball session for beginners. It’s a great chance to learn the basics and watch others compete.
Once a team is knocked out of the tournament, they don’t have to stop playing. Since the whole facility is reserved for the event, players can keep enjoying the courts during the two-hour time slot.
Snacks, Shoes, and Spectating
Players and guests will have access to the Pickleball Paddock Mezzanine. From there, they can watch matches while enjoying snacks and drinks. ASICS will also provide demo court shoes for players to try out during the event.
