Rogers Kids Invited to Serve Up Fun: New Summer Pickleball and Tennis Programs Launch for Beginners

Young players in Rogers, Arkansas, will have a chance to learn pickleball and tennis this summer through special beginner programs. The OTA – Summer Recreational Pickleball Youth Beginner (Wed.) class will run from June 4 to July 23, 2025, every Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Rogers Activity Center, 315 West Olive Street, Rogers, AR 72756. Meanwhile, a Youth Tennis program for both beginner and intermediate levels will also be held, offering instruction and fun for children of various ages. These programs are designed to help youth gain new skills and enjoy recreational sports in a supportive setting.

Focus on Fun and Skill Building

The pickleball course will take place once a week on Wednesdays and is perfect for kids just starting out. It emphasizes basic training and gameplay in a fun, friendly atmosphere. The tennis program includes both beginner and intermediate players, divided into groups by age to ensure focused coaching.

Tennis Program Location and Instructor

Unlike the pickleball class held at the Rogers Activity Center, the tennis sessions will take place at Mt Hebron in Rogers. Classes begin on June 3, 2025, and end on July 22, 2025, following a weekly Wednesday schedule from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The program will be led by Carmen De Genaro, a dedicated instructor focused on helping kids build confidence and skills on the court.

Why It Matters

Programs like these offer more than just physical activity. They help children develop coordination, sportsmanship, and teamwork. For families in Rogers, these low-cost, weekly sessions provide a great way to keep kids active during the summer months while learning something new. Both programs offer structure and fun in a safe, local environment.
