Hodag Dome Swings Open for Pickleball: Pickleball games will start again at the Hodag Dome on Tuesday in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. With help from the Rhinelander Pickleball Group, the indoor facility is now ready for play after new nets were set up. Tennis will return later once new equipment arrives.
Dome Ready for Pickleball, Not Tennis
While tennis players must wait for new tennis standards to be delivered, pickleball players are clear to get back on the courts. The Rhinelander Pickleball Group helped set up the necessary nets inside the Dome, according to a Facebook post on the Hodag Dome page.
Temporary Seating and Facility Updates
There won’t be chairs available for players this week. The Dome’s Facebook post explained, “For the remainder of this week, if you’re coming to play pickleball and you’d like to sit in a chair, please bring a bagged chair with you.”
Work will continue to improve the space. Lighting will be added by the courts, and court surface scratches will be fixed as summer continues.
