Pickleball players across West Virginia are gearing up for the 2025 Greenbrier Gold Cup Pickleball Tournament, taking place at The Greenbrier Resort on August 23 and 24. Early bird registration is now open, offering $10 off with the code “Green10” until July 23 at 8 a.m. or until the first 100 players sign up.
The pickleball event will use a round-robin format followed by bracket play, guaranteeing at least six games per player. Men’s and women’s doubles will be held on Saturday, with mixed doubles scheduled for Sunday. Singles matches can be played on either day. The pickleball tournament will use the Franklin X40 ball, and scores will auto-post to the DUPR system.
Competitive Format and Features
The Greenbrier Gold Cup is open to all skill levels, but this year introduces an OPEN Cash Prize division for top competitors. Men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles will each have $2,000 in prize money. These divisions are capped at 14 teams, encouraging early registration for high-level players ready to compete for cash.
Players can expect custom medals and other prizes for top performances. This mix of competitive and community spirit makes the event appealing for all kinds of players, whether beginners or seasoned athletes.
