Located at 11 David Street, New Bedford, the Southeast Sportsplex is designed to be a year-round home for local pickleball players of all skill levels.
The open house runs from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors can tour the facility and meet the team behind the project. The event comes ahead of the Sportsplex’s soft opening and grand opening celebration on June 28.
“This is a destination for athletes of all ages,” said Matt Ponte, owner and operator of the Sportsplex. Pickleball players will have access to seven high-quality indoor courts, giving them a much-needed option to play rain or shine.
Membership and How to Play Pickleball Here
Membership is free, but everyone must complete a waiver before participating. The process is quick and simple. To reserve a pickleball court, players will use CourtReserve, a scheduling platform available on the Southeast Sportsplex website or as a mobile app.
Through CourtReserve, users can:

Reserve other spaces like batting cages and golf simulators
Reservations can be made up to 14 days in advance.
