Dallas Gears Up for 2025 Dink: Pickleball Players Compete for 175K Dollar Prize at World Pickleball Tour Event

The World Pickleball Tour will host the 2025 Dallas Dink tournament from June 20 to June 22 at Oasis Pickleball Club in Rockwall, Texas. This pickleball event is part of a nationwide amateur series aimed at growing the sport through fun and competitive play for non-professional athletes.

The Oasis Pickleball Club offers 42 courts and will welcome amateur players from around the country. The pickleball tournament is open to players ages 18 and older, and includes age brackets for 19+, 30+, 40+, 50+, and 60+. Players aged 70 and above may be added after registration closes.

About the World Pickleball Tour

The World Pickleball Tour, known as WPT, is focused on amateur-level play. In 2024, it hosted 25 events, and for 2025, that number is increasing to nearly 35.

The WPT is focused on helping pickleball grow at the grassroots level by offering high-quality events for amateur players.

Tournament Details and Format

The registration fee for this event is $80. Players also pay $70 to register and $30 for each event they enter. Registration opened on January 1, 2024, and closed on June 15, 2025, at 11:55 p.m. EST.

Matches will be played in round-robin format with brackets and playoffs. Each player is guaranteed at least six matches. Games are played to 11 points and must be won by two.

The daily schedule includes:

  • Friday – Men’s Singles and Women’s Doubles

  • Saturday – Mixed Doubles

  • Sunday – Men’s Doubles and Women’s Singles

Brackets are capped at nine players or teams but may be expanded to 11 if space allows. Some brackets may be combined for a better playing experience. Events are scheduled in waves starting at 8 a.m., 12 p.m., and 4 p.m. The final schedule will be released on June 16, 2025.

Perks and Refund Policy

All registered players will receive a WPT Dri-FIT t-shirt, free action photos, and DUPR score updates. For doubles registration, both teammates must register within two days of one another. If not, the first player is moved to the waitlist.

Players may be removed from the list once the second teammate signs up—if space is still available. WPT’s refund policy allows cancellations for a credit toward a future event, minus a $30 fee.

Building a Stronger Amateur Community

The World Pickleball Tour offers amateur athletes a chance to play in a competitive yet welcoming setting. The Dallas Dink gives players the opportunity to qualify for the WPT Amateur Invitational Championships and win part of the $175,000 prize fund.

The event promotes community, skill development, and fun while helping to grow pickleball at every level of play.
