Indoor Pickleball Facility in Boca Raton: Construction has started on a large indoor pickleball and padel facility in Boca Raton, Florida. The project, named Boca Paddle by CityPickle, broke ground on Tuesday and will feature 25 courts, wellness spaces, and a restaurant. It is set to open in early 2026 and aims to be both a sports venue and a community hub.
A New Home for Pickleball and Padel
The new complex will be 100,000 square feet and include 14 indoor pickleball courts and six padel courts. It will also have cold plunges, saunas, a coworking space, and a restaurant by Farmer’s Table. The goal is to offer a mix of sports, wellness, and gathering spaces.
Boca Paddle by CityPickle is a public-private project with a cost of $20 million. Local leaders say the facility will help meet growing interest in paddle and pickleball in the region.
Brian Levine, co-managing partner of Boca Paddle, said, “I mean, what we aspire to create with Boca Paddle is a community for pickleball and paddle players.”
CityPickle founders Mary Cannon and Erica Desai added, “You know, our goal has always been to create community around pickleball. And Boca Paddle is going to be the perfect home and hub for anyone who plays pickleball in this area.”
Why Boca Raton?
Boca Raton is already known as a major area for pickleball. According to developers, seven of the top ten ranked professional pickleball players live within 10 miles of the future site. The location makes it ideal for both casual and competitive players.
With so many top players nearby and growing interest in the sport, the facility is expected to be busy year-round. It will also provide a new place for people of all ages to play, meet, and stay active.
A Look Ahead
The complex is planned to open in early 2026. It is expected to become a major part of the local sports scene. With its courts, wellness areas, and social spaces, Boca Paddle by CityPickle may bring more people to the game and create a strong community for pickleball and padel players.
