Hendersonville Pickleball League: Silly Pickles is launching its first-ever pickleball league in Hendersonville, Tennessee, this summer. The league will run Sunday evenings from June 29 to August 24, 2025, at Pickleball Kingdom, located at 90 Volunteer Drive, Suite 480. It’s open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced players.
Summer Fun on the Courts
The league will take place weekly on Sundays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Each player will get one hour of court time per night. The league will skip July 6, totaling eight weeks of play. The cost to register is $165. Players can use the promo code HVILLE15 for $15 off.
This league is designed to help players meet new people and enjoy competitive matches. Whether someone has a DUPR rating of 5.0 or has never held a paddle before, they are welcome. New players will receive help learning the basics of the game.
Organized Play with Ladder Rankings
The league uses a ladder system to match players with others at a similar skill level. After registering, each player completes a short survey about their playing experience. The responses help set up initial rankings for the first week.
During the season, players will move up or down the ladder based on performance. Every Sunday, they will play in groups of four, with each player facing the others in three games to 15 points. Players will report their total points scored, out of a maximum of 45, after each night.
The top two scorers in each group move up the ladder, and the bottom two move down. Rankings are updated weekly.
Flexible Attendance and Fair Play
Each week, the organizers send an email asking who will be unavailable the following Sunday. Missing a match will not affect a player’s standing as long as they inform the organizers. Time slots rotate between 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00 p.m., so everyone gets a chance to play earlier matches.
Although players may register with friends, everyone is ranked individually. This system ensures fair competition while also helping players connect with others in the community.
What This Means for Hendersonville
The arrival of Silly Pickles adds to the growing interest in pickleball in Hendersonville and beyond. With an expected 90 players, this summer league is set to become one of the most popular pickleball events in the area. The format supports both fun and improvement, encouraging social interaction through sport.
