Dill Dinkers Debuts in Hamilton: Dill Dinkers, an indoor pickleball franchise, has opened its first Ohio location in Hamilton. The facility, located at 1740 South Erie Boulevard, is offering a free week of play from Friday until June 20. Players can sign up through the Dill Dinkers app to take part.
Bringing Indoor Pickleball to Hamilton
The new Dill Dinkers facility is owned by Alex Alahakoon. It is located inside the Hamilton Crossing Shopping Center, next to Kroger and Skyline Chili. The building, once a Marsh grocery store and later a furniture store, now hosts the city’s first indoor pickleball courts.
“I thought it would be great to put a pickleball facility there, I had been working with the city of Hamilton and they don’t have a facility like this. They have a few outdoor courts, but there are no indoor pickleball courts in the immediate area.”-(Alex Alahakoon)
High-Quality Courts and Features
The indoor center includes 12 champion-sized courts with Pro Cushion surfaces. These soft rubber-like courts are designed to be comfortable for players. The facility also includes a ball machine, a pro shop, and a modern reservation system to help reduce wait times.
Alex Alahakoon shared his excitement about the facility’s potential.
“We are looking forward to host tournaments and leagues in the immediate future.”-(Alex Alahakoon)
Dill Dinkers currently has more than 20 facilities across 12 states. With this opening, Ohio becomes the 12th state to have at least one Dill Dinkers location.
Connecting with the Community
Alex Alahakoon believes most players will come from the Hamilton and Fairfield areas. The closest indoor pickleball venue, the Pickle Lodge, is located about 20 minutes away in West Chester Township.
To help make the location successful, the team has worked with local businesses, including Third Eye Brewing and Chester’s Pizza.
A New Option for Pickleball in the Region
The arrival of Dill Dinkers brings a new choice for local pickleball players. It also provides a year-round indoor space for games, which was not available in the area before. The free week of play offers a chance for residents to try the facility and experience the sport.
As more players get involved, the Hamilton location plans to host tournaments and leagues. This could attract visitors and boost the local pickleball scene.
