From Warehouse to Wellness Hub: Match Point Pickleball Club in Columbus Opens October 1

Match Point Pickleball Club in Columbus: A major pickleball facility called Match Point Pickleball Club is coming to east Columbus. Set inside a 250,000-square-foot warehouse on McCormick Boulevard, the new complex is expected to open by October 1, pending final approval from the city.

A Boost for East Columbus

The multi-million-dollar project will feature several pickleball courts, a restaurant, and amenities for both beginners and experienced players. The goal is to create a fun and welcoming space for the community to enjoy.

Operations Manager Bill Taylor believes the club will make a big difference for the area.

“We want not only the people that are already here but the people to realize that you can drive 15 minutes and be a lot of places in Columbus. Why not come to the east side? Why not be here?” -(Bill Taylor)

A New Hub for Pickleball Players

Match Point Pickleball Club is expected to bring more excitement and competition to the Columbus pickleball scene.

“There are great pickleball facilities in Columbus. Most of them are towards that northwest side, The east side has kinda been left alone. We think we can bring people over here.”-(Bill Taylor)

Players in the area are already looking forward to the new space and what it will offer.

A Space for Play and Friendship

Pickleball player Diana Nguyen said the new facility will help people connect more easily.

“We can be competitive, or we can just be light — just hitting the ball back and forth and chatting while we are playing.” -(Diana Nguyen)

For her, having more places to play makes the sport better for everyone.

“The more access to the game is better. It is really cool to show up for a park and play for free, but having a facility where people can be involved in clubs is a great way to build community and meet new people.” -(Diana Nguyen)

Looking Ahead

The Match Point Pickleball Club could become a popular place in east Columbus. By offering courts, clubs, and a social space, the project aims to bring new life to the area. If all goes as planned, the facility will open on October 1 and offer more ways for people to play, connect, and compete.
