Aviation Park Pickleball Complex: During the June 2 city budget meeting, many residents spoke in favor of a new pickleball complex planned for Aviation Park. The project includes eight courts and is part of the 2025-2026 Capital Improvement Plan for Redondo Beach, California.
Design Phase Included in Budget Proposal
City Manager Mike Witzansky confirmed that the project is in the design phase and will move forward as one of six new projects funded in the next budget year. Jesse Reyes, who manages capital projects, listed the pickleball courts along with other updates like shelter expansion and library upgrades.
Witzansky said, “That’s another item that’s critical here, amidst everything else,” showing how important the courts are among the many proposals.
