Mumford & Sons Pickle on Penn Match: On Monday, June 16, 2025, fans of music and pickleball will get a rare treat as GRAMMY-winning band Mumford & Sons takes on the Indiana University pickleball team at Pickle on Penn in Carmel, Indiana. The match will run from noon to 3 p.m., ahead of the band’s concert in Noblesville.
A Star-Studded Pop-Up Match
The event is part of a special appearance by Mumford & Sons at Pickle on Penn, located at 11575 North Pennsylvania Street. This pop-up combines live sports with music celebrity fun. It also celebrates a new partnership between the IU pickleball team and the club.
“Before taking the stage Tuesday evening at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Mumford & Sons will join IU athletes for an afternoon of light-hearted competition, community connection, and paddle-powered fun,” (Kelly Bodner).
Enjoy Lunch and a View
To make the day even better, The Kitchen — the venue’s second-floor restaurant and bar — will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can enjoy lunch and drinks while watching the match from the mezzanine, which overlooks the courts.
Guests are invited to enjoy delicious food, refreshing drinks, and front-row seats to this unique celebrity-athlete match-up.
A New Home for IU Pickleball
This match also launches Pickle on Penn as the IU pickleball team’s official summer training home. The collaboration shows the venue’s goal of supporting young and growing talent in the sport.
