Inside Largo’s Pickle & Pint: The Game-Changing Indoor Pickleball Hub Everyone’s Talking About

Largo’s Pickle & Pint: Pickle & Pint, a new 32,000-square-foot indoor pickleball center with a full restaurant and bar, recently opened in Largo, Florida. Located at 13200 South Belcher Road, it offers a space for players of all ages to enjoy pickleball, food, and games—rain or shine.

The facility, which features 12 indoor courts along with ping pong and cornhole, joins a growing list of indoor pickleball venues in Pinellas County. Other places like Dink House Pickleball Club and future locations such as St. Pete Athletic Paddle & Social, Pickleball Kingdom, and Dill Dinkers show the sport’s growing popularity in the region.

Inspired by the Sport’s Local Growth

Zachary Weir co-owns Pickle & Pint with his wife and father-in-law. He said they were inspired to open the business after seeing how popular pickleball had become in the community.

“As of right now, we’re doing really well and very grateful for the community to support us and everyone else that has been coming day to day,” (Zachary Weir).

Weir believes Largo was the perfect location because of its central position.

“The reason why we wanted Largo was because it’s kind of in the middle of all of the major cities, like Clearwater, Tampa, St. Pete,” (Zachary Weir).

The opening of the Gateway Expressway made it easier for people to reach the facility from surrounding areas.

Combining Sports with Dining

Weir’s past experience managing bars helped shape the idea behind Pickle & Pint. The family wanted a place where people could not only play but also relax with food and drinks.

“We also looked at places outside of Florida. Our inspiration was Chicken N Pickle and then Rally Pickleball, in the North Carolina area. They have places there that do kitchen and bars and stuff like that,” (Zachary Weir).

Weir and his team did detailed research before launching. They visited outdoor pickleball courts, checked how busy they were, and studied how weather affects play.

“We did some research on how many pickleball courts there were outdoors and kinda see how busy they are. We drove around a lot and staked out the outdoor areas and what times are busy, temperatures, the different seasons and how they would be factors,”(Zachary Weir).

Choosing the Right Space

The building that now houses Pickle & Pint was the only one they visited. Despite other businesses being interested, the owners chose Weir’s team.

“We’ve always had the mindset of if it was meant to be it’d be, we found this place, and it actually was the only place we toured in person and we actually had other franchises that wanted the place, and the owners of the building decided to go with us,”(Zachary Weir).

Membership Options for All

Pickle & Pint offers several membership plans: P&P Plus, P&P Pro, and P&P Prestige. These give members discounts on court rentals, events, and leagues.

Players don’t need a membership to visit. A free P&P Pass lets guests reserve courts up to three days in advance, though it doesn’t include any discounts.

Looking Toward the Future

Right now, Pickle & Pint only has the Largo location, but expansion may happen if this first center is a long-term success.

“If we hit the ground running here and do really well here, [expansion] could be something that we could potentially do in the future,”. “But I think our focus is just to get this one to where we want it to be.”(Zachary Weir)

News in Brief: Largo’s Pickle & Pint

Pickle & Pint has opened in Largo, offering indoor pickleball courts, food, and fun under one roof. Co-owner Zachary Weir says strong community support is helping the new facility succeed. If all goes well, the team may consider expanding beyond its current 32,000-square-foot location.
