The Humana Invite Campaign: Inspiring Older Adults to Play and Stay Healthy

Humana Invite Campaign: Humana has launched a new campaign called “Invite” to help seniors stay active and connected through pickleball. The program kicked off this June with national ads, free paddle giveaways, and events aimed at encouraging older adults to play the growing sport for both health and fun.

The “Invite” campaign is airing across networks such as ESPN2, CBS Sports, FS1, FS2, and Tennis Channel. The campaign highlights the benefits of staying active, including better health and social connection, especially for aging adults. It focuses on making fitness fun and easy to start.

Encouraging Active Aging

The campaign features older pickleball players welcoming others to join them on the court. Humana, a health and wellness company, hopes this effort will inspire seniors of all fitness levels to give pickleball a try.

“Pickleball is more than a game — it’s a gateway to better health, new friendships, and joyful movement at any age,” said Jennifer Ilecki, Chief Marketing Officer at Humana. “We’re extending a warm, inclusive invitation to older adults everywhere to get involved and embrace living life to the fullest.”

Free Paddles and National Support

As part of the campaign, Humana is giving away free pickleball paddles while supplies last. The company is also promoting the effort through digital, print, and social media. This builds on Humana’s ongoing work with top pickleball organizations such as the Association of Pickleball Players Tour, the Carvana Professional Pickleball Association Tour, and U.S. Senior Pickleball.

The company has also invested in local courts and community programs in its hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, and supports tournaments and public events for older adults.

Improving Lives Through Movement

This campaign adds to the growing interest in helping seniors stay active through sports. Pickleball, known for being easy to learn and low-impact, is an ideal way for older adults to improve their physical, mental, and emotional health.

With national media coverage and support from the pickleball world, Humana’s “Invite” campaign could lead to more seniors picking up a paddle and joining the movement.
