A Pickleball Venue That’s More Than a Court
Drop Shots HTX features six professional-grade indoor courts for all-day play, protected from Houston’s heat and rain. But there’s more than just pickleball. Visitors can hang out in the upstairs lounge with games like skee-ball, ping pong, arcade basketball, and cornhole. A nine-screen video wall can be used for sports watch parties or converted into a 195-inch mega screen.
The food menu comes from Clutch City Kitchen, offering pizza, sandwiches, and acai bowls. At the full indoor/outdoor bar, guests can sip on signature pickleball cocktails, mocktails, and fresh juices made from local ingredients.
“We didn’t just want to open a bar,” said Roveen Abante. “We built a space where people connect, whether they’re playing or not. There’s something for everyone here.”
Family Fun, Weekly Events, and a Welcoming Space
Drop Shots HTX is designed to be more than just a sports venue. It will host themed nights like Glow-in-the-Dark Fridays, Tacos and Tequila Saturdays, and Pancakes and Pickleball. The space is family-friendly until 10 p.m., making it a place for all generations.
“Some venues lean into serious competition, we lean into fun,” said Shawn Outlaw. “We’re the only indoor pickleball facility inside the Loop with a full bar, kitchen, lounge, and patio. But more than that, we’re the only one that feels like your new favorite neighborhood hangout, even if you never touch a paddle.”
The founders built the space to bring people together through a sport they love. “From our 10-year-olds to our 65-year-old parents, pickleball is for everyone. And so is this space,” added Shawn Outlaw.
