Match Point Open Pickleball Tournament 2025: The Match Point Open Powered by Proton takes place July 5–6, 2025 at The Picklr Scottsdale North in Scottsdale, Arizona. Open to amateurs and pros, the event features cash prizes and free registration. Players can compete in singles, doubles, and mixed divisions across all skill levels.
Open to All Skill Levels
Registration opens June 20 at 11:55 p.m. AZST and closes July 3 at 8:00 p.m. AZST. There is no tournament entry fee, but specific divisions require per-player fees:
Co-Ed Doubles: $75
3.0 Social Doubles: $85
3.5+ Doubles: $99
All participants must use approved paddles. Players must complete registration and have a partner by July 3, or their spot could be canceled.
Tournament Format and Rules
Matches follow this structure:
Doubles:
Pool play: to 15 points, win by 2
Quarter/Semifinals: to 21 points, win by 2
Medal Matches: best 2 of 3 games to 11, win by 2
Singles:
Pool play: to 11 points, win by 1
Quarter/Semifinals: to 15 points, win by 1
Medal Matches: best 2 of 3 games to 11, win by 2
Divisions will shift to round robin if fewer than six entries. Scores will be reported to DUPR in all divisions.
Skill Rating and Division Rules
Doubles divisions, except Open, use two DUPR caps:
Team average based on both players
Maximum individual DUPR
Players over 50 receive a 0.25 average reduction. Non-rated players must contact the tournament director. DUPR ratings may be reviewed and adjusted by the director.
Prize Money and Refund Policy
Cash divisions offer:
1st place: $500
2nd place: Free entry to future Match Point Open ($104 value) and a Proton Backpack
3rd place: Slyce Speed Coins and Rizz Grips
Social-only divisions reward free entry to a future event.
Withdrawals before the July 3 deadline receive full refunds minus a $5 service fee. No refunds are available after July 3.
