Picklr Manahawkin-LBI Health Partnership: JAG Physical Therapy has joined forces with The Picklr Manahawkin-LBI, becoming the indoor pickleball club’s official physical therapy provider. The goal is to help players stay healthy by offering expert care, injury tips, and education. The Picklr is located at 205 Route 72 West in Manahawkin, New Jersey.
Partnership Promotes Player Health
The new partnership connects JAG Physical Therapy’s services—used by patients and sports teams across more than 165 locations in the Northeast—with local pickleball players of all levels. This effort aims to reduce injuries and support recovery through resources both online and on-site.
As part of the deal, JAG Physical Therapy receives naming rights to the facility’s performance room. The company will also have a presence at key events, including the Star Spangled Paddle Tournament on July 10–11 and the LBI Pickleball By The Beach Tournament from August 1–3.
Injury Prevention and Education
JAG Physical Therapy and The Picklr Manahawkin-LBI will team up on social media to share tips about pickleball, injury prevention, and staying active. This comes ahead of a new book by JAG Physical Therapy President and CEO John Gallucci Jr., who will release a pickleball injury prevention guide later this summer.
Pickleball has grown quickly, especially in adult communities. But with its rise, player injuries—particularly among those aged 50 and older—have also increased. Common injuries include ankle sprains, tennis elbow, shoulder strains, Achilles injuries, and fractures.
Growth of Pickleball Creates New Needs
As pickleball becomes more popular, partnerships like this help support the growing number of players. By focusing on safety, fitness, and education, JAG Physical Therapy and The Picklr Manahawkin-LBI aim to keep the sport fun and safe for everyone.
