Midwest’s Biggest Pickleball Bash: “Pickleball Palooza” Set to Ignite Franklin This July

The Southeastern Wisconsin Association of Pickleball (SWAP) will host “Pickleball Palooza!” on July 5, 2025, at Lions Legend Park, 8050 South Legend Drive in Franklin, Wisconsin. The event will serve as an Independence Day celebration and a fun way for players of all levels to connect through the fast-growing sport.

SWAP is the largest pickleball club in Wisconsin and continues to expand rapidly, reaching over 1,500 members in just three years. Players from nearby states like Illinois, Michigan, and Minnesota also join the group’s events, making it a regional hub for pickleball activity.

A Club That Keeps Growing

SWAP was featured on The Morning Blend, where President Ray Chou and Club Coach and Instructor James Hass encouraged more people to get involved in the sport.

SWAP provides a wide range of services, including beginner lessons, step-up clinics, youth camps, league play, and even nonprofit tournaments. They also help players work toward earning ratings by offering instructional clinics.

The group recently took a major step by leasing land from the City of West Allis to build eight courts. This new space is helping the club grow its schedule of social events and games, especially in the evenings, thanks to a partnership with Ope! Brewing Company.

Building a Community Through Pickleball

The upcoming “Pickleball Palooza!” event will be one of many ways SWAP continues to create opportunities for people of all skill levels to play, learn, and celebrate. Through strong partnerships and a growing community, SWAP is making pickleball more accessible in Wisconsin.
