Nextil Goji Pickleball Clothing Launch: Spanish textile group Nueva Expresión Textil, known as Nextil, is partnering with a U.S. firm to launch a new clothing brand called Goji, aimed at pickleball players in the United States. The brand will start with pickleball gear and later move into other sports and fashion sectors.
New Brand with a Clear Vision
Goji will be designed and produced by Nextil’s Portuguese subsidiaries Playvest and Sici 93. According to Goji founder Jaime Muriel,
“Goji was born from a clear vision: to create a brand that not only performs in sports, but also represents a new way of understanding active fashion.”
Goji will use Greendyes, a natural dyeing method created by Nextil that does not rely on chemicals. The focus will be on creating high-quality sportswear that is also eco-friendly.
Focus on Style, Performance, and Growth
Nextil says Goji is meant to have a global impact and will grow into other areas of the fashion market. “There is a strategic plan to diversify into other fashion segments,” the company stated.
The goal is to design products that offer “functionality, aesthetics and sustainability” for a new generation of consumers.
“A generation that values both performance and the impact it leaves on the world,” said Jaime Muriel.
2025 Growth Goals and Financial Strategy
Nextil shared its 2025 business plans in April. It aims to double its sales this year to €60 million and reach a gross operating profit (EBITDA) of €10 million. The company also wants to keep its net debt below three times its EBITDA.
The company is targeting monthly order levels of over €7 million by the end of the year. After ending 2024 with profits for the first time in ten years, Nextil is now focused on expanding its presence in global markets.
