Serve Up Fun and Make a Difference: Pickleball on the Plateau Tournament Rallies Community for Local Youth

Pickleball on the Plateau Tournament: The Mountaintop Rotary Club will hold the Second Annual Pickleball on the Plateau tournament on July 12 and July 13 at the Highlands Rec Park courts on 4th Street. The event will feature two full days of matches and raise funds for local youth programs.

Two Days of Pickleball Matches

Games will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Saturday, July 12 will include men’s and women’s doubles. Sunday, July 13 will feature mixed doubles play.

Players will be sorted by skill level. This ensures that everyone, from beginners to experienced competitors, can enjoy fair and exciting games.

Growing Tournament Attendance

Last year’s first tournament brought in about 50 players. This time, organizers expect participants from North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, and possibly even more states.

Mountaintop Rotary Club and local sponsors hope to create an even bigger event.

Supporting Local Youth

All money raised during the tournament will help local youth organizations. These funds will support programs that give young people more chances to learn, play, and grow.

Organizers shared, “This is not just a chance to compete but also an opportunity to gather as a community and support a noble cause.”

Welcoming Everyone to Join

Spectators are encouraged to come out and watch the matches, cheer on their favorite teams, and enjoy the lively atmosphere.

Organizers said, “Don’t miss out on the chance to be part of this exciting event!” They also added, “We can’t wait to see you there for a fantastic weekend of pickleball fun and community engagement!”
