Ace Pickleball Club Fort Myers Opening: Ace Pickleball Club has officially opened an indoor pickleball facility in Fort Myers, Florida. The club started with a soft launch on June 27 and offers 12 air-conditioned courts. Located at 2501 Alessio Drive near Interstate 75 and State Road 82, it provides a modern space for players of all skill levels to enjoy the sport year-round.
Background and Location
McKinley Cooper moved to Southwest Florida in 2020 and saw the chance to open an indoor pickleball facility. She chose Fort Myers because of the community’s love for the game and the need for a space protected from heat, bugs, and rain. The building sits in a new industrial area that was once planned as a Buc-ee’s gas station.
Facility Features and Membership
The club covers 33,000 square feet and has high ceilings, good lighting, and separate courts for beginners, intermediate players, and advanced players. Membership costs $99 a month and includes open court play. New members can try it for free during the first month.
Camryn White, a former Earlham College basketball player, is the club manager. She explained how the club helps players improve. “We divide our courts by skill level,” said Camryn White. “Beginner, intermediate, advanced. Every player gets quality games, whatever their skill level might be.”
Coaching and Community
Ace Pickleball Club wants to help people learn and love the sport. “Part of our mission here is to grow the game,” said Camryn White. She encouraged new players to be patient and take classes. “Be patient. It’s going to take a minute to get it down. But my biggest advice? Take a Pickleball 101 [class]. We teach you how to serve. We teach you all the rules, the scoring.”
McKinley Cooper believes pickleball is perfect for everyone. “I like it because anyone can play,” said McKinley Cooper. “It’s very easy to pick up the game. You can play with friends. You can play with your family. It’s just a really fun, active sport to get involved with.”
Future Growth
Ace Pickleball Club already has over 20 locations across the country and plans to expand to more than 150 sites in the next few years. In Lutz, Florida, their new club quickly signed up 1,200 members.
Camryn White said indoor courts create a better experience. “You have the optimal playing experience,” said Camryn White. “Good lighting, high ceilings. Everything you could ask for at a pickleball facility is here. And so, I think the people of Fort Myers are really going to enjoy this experience.”
McKinley Cooper added, “I’m very proud of our courts and everything that comes with the facility. We want the community to come in and see it for themselves. We’ve put together an amazing team. It’s going to be an awesome community here.”
