Pickleball Tournament Cancer Support Arizona: Cancer Support Community Arizona will host a pickleball tournament and brunch on July 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Chicken N Pickle in Glendale. The event will raise money for free support programs that help Arizonans impacted by cancer.
Julie Dunnigan, Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Support Community Arizona, said, “We know that behind every cancer diagnosis is a ripple effect felt by families, friends, and caregivers. Events like this tournament bring people together in the spirit of community while supporting those who are navigating one of life’s toughest challenges.”
Tournament Details and Activities
The tournament is open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced players. Teams of two will play in bracket-style matches. Each team’s $150 registration fee covers three guaranteed games, brunch for both players, and one raffle ticket per player.
Spectators can buy tickets ranging from $25 to $50. All spectator tickets include access to watch the games and one raffle ticket.
Special Raffle Prizes
A highlight of the raffle is a luxury two-night staycation in Scottsdale. The vacation home was donated by Coast to Cactus. It has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living rooms, a full kitchen, and a large backyard. Guests can enjoy a heated pool, hot tub, fire pit, pickleball court, and putting green. The house can sleep up to 13 people.
Cancer Support for Arizonans
More than 42,000 people in Arizona are expected to be diagnosed with cancer this year. Cancer Support Community Arizona provides free help, including in-person and online services, to anyone affected by cancer. The funds raised from this event will help the organization continue its mission so no one faces cancer alone.
