Superday 2025 Pickleball Tournament: Cheyenne’s Superday 2025 featured an exciting pickleball tournament that brought players of all ages to Lions Park on Saturday. The competition included mixed, men’s, and women’s brackets, giving everyone a chance to show their skills.
Mixed Division Winners
In the mixed division upper bracket, Sarah Stephan and Matt Stephan took first place. The lower bracket saw Marianne Shenefelt and Francis Shenefelt claim victory. The Shenefelts, who are experienced in pickleball, shared their thoughts on the day.
Marianne Shenefelt said, “I think it includes a lot of people, as you well saw, young people too and something to do. I saw a lot of cornhole going on and we like to do that too.”
Francis Shenefelt added, “It’s just great to see the people of Cheyenne together as a community, it’s important.”
Women’s and Men’s Brackets
In the women’s upper division, Sarah Stephan teamed up with Mary Parsons to earn another gold medal. On the men’s side, youth players stood out. Isaiah Rigg and Jackson Cook secured first place medals, proving the next generation is strong in the sport.
A Day for Everyone
The pickleball tournament showed how sports can bring people together. From longtime players to newcomers, everyone felt welcomed. The event also inspired many to pick up a paddle and join the fun in the future.
