The Pickleball Power Play tournament will take place from July 11, 2025, to July 13, 2025, at Pickler Universe in Carrollton, Texas. Players from across the country will gather to compete in men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles events for all skill levels, including age 50+ divisions and cash prize Open Divisions.
This pickleball event invites beginners and seasoned players alike to register individually by 8:00 PM CST on July 11, 2025, for a fee of $60. All matches will be held on 12 indoor courts at Pickler Universe, which is located at 2800 North Interstate 35E.
A Round Robin Tournament Format
The Pickleball Power Play will use its well-known round robin format to give players more games and less waiting. Every match will be played best two out of three games to 11 points, win by 2.
Depending on the number of teams, participants are guaranteed multiple games:
Four teams: 12 games minimum, up to 18 games
Five teams: 8 games minimum, up to 12 games
Six teams: 10 games minimum, up to 15 games
Seven teams: 12 games minimum, up to 18 games
Eight teams: 14 games minimum, up to 21 games
Skill Levels and Cash Prizes
The tournament offers divisions for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. There are special Open Divisions where top competitors can win cash prizes. Players over age 50 will have their own divisions to encourage fair play.
Registration and Fees
Every player must register and pay their own entry fee. One person cannot pay for the entire team. This rule ensures fairness and accurate records. During sign-up, each player must select their partner. Organizers said, “Each player must register and pay individually for Pickleball Power Play events.”
DUPR Ratings Guide Team Placement The event uses DUPR ratings to place teams in the right divisions. This system helps keep matches fair and balanced.
Officials stated, “Division eligibility is determined by DUPR, and we reserve the right to move into the division in which their DUPR Rating fits into.” One teammate can meet the rating requirement for a division, allowing their partner to join them in that bracket.
