Memory Park Pickleball Sessions: Pickleball is now available at Memory Park in the Town of Newton, thanks to a partnership between the Town of Newton Recreation Department and TJD Sports Academy. The new programs offer lessons for adults and youth during July and August, giving residents many chances to learn and play the fast-growing sport.
Adults age 18 and older can join Sunday lessons on July 13, 20, 27, and August 3 and 10. These sessions cost $125 per person. The schedule is:
9 to 10 a.m. – Advanced Beginner and Newbie
10 to 11 a.m. – Intermediate
11 a.m. to noon – Play with a Pro
More Options for Adults and Youth
Adult lessons will also be held on Mondays, July 14, 21, 28, and August 4 and 11, for $125 per participant. Monday sessions include:
9 to 10 a.m. – Session 1 for Advanced Beginners and Newbies
10 to 11 a.m. – Session 2 for Advanced Beginners and Newbies
Youth ages 8 to 13 can join a special camp from Monday, August 25, to Thursday, August 28. This camp runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m. each day and costs $135.

These lessons are designed to serve all skill levels, from complete beginners to those looking to sharpen their play. The programs highlight how much interest pickleball has gained in the community.
