Maryland Gold Cup Pickleball Tournament 2025: The Maryland Gold Cup will take place at Dill Dinkers North Bethesda in North Bethesda, Maryland, from July 12 to July 13, 2025. Organized by the Amateur Pickleball Association, this event will feature skill-based competitions and cash prizes. Players must register by July 9, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Registration costs $75 for the first event, with discounts for additional entries. Players of all skill levels, from 2.5 to 5.0, are welcome. Events will first be sorted by skill level and then by age group, depending on participation numbers.
Event Format and Schedule
The event includes doubles on Saturday and mixed doubles on Sunday, starting at 8:00 a.m. Singles will be played in the afternoons. Doubles teams are guaranteed six games. Round-robin matches will be played to 11 points, win by two. Medal rounds will be best two of three. Singles matches will use rally scoring to 21 points, win by two.
Registrations will be organized by skill level before considering age divisions. Players with 25 or more DUPR-rated games and a 60% reliability rating must play at their DUPR rating.
Refunds and Credits
Once payment is processed, registrations are final and non-refundable. Withdrawals made two or more weeks before the event will receive a full credit for a future tournament.
If weather stops outdoor play before any matches begin, a 50% credit will be given. There are no indoor backup plans. If an event date changes, all players will get a full credit.
Players without partners who are not matched will get a credit but no refund. Late registrations that cannot be added will also receive credits. If a player changes partners within two weeks of the event, the removed player will get a credit minus a $15 fee.
Prize Money and Cash Divisions
The OPEN Doubles Cash Prize Division allows any players to compete for cash. A sold-out division with 14 teams will award $1,000 to gold medal winners, $600 to silver, and $400 to bronze. Prizes are split 50%, 30%, and 20% among winners.
