The La Crosse Pickleball Club held a special Legacy Night celebration on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at The Blue Zone on Rose Street to honor two remarkable members—Carol Bantley and Suzy Comeau, both 88 years old and still active on the courts.
The event took place during the club’s regular Ladies Night gathering and brought together about 50 women to celebrate the dedication and spirit of Carol Bantley and Suzy Comeau. Both women continue to play regularly and serve as role models for the club’s growing community of over 400 members.
Celebrating Life and Sport
Carol Bantley, who turns 89 on Friday, was all smiles during the event.
“Live life to the fullest. Love it as you go. Everybody can play pickleball. It’s a sport for everyone,”(Carol Bantley).
Suzy Comeau, also nearing her 89th birthday, shared in the recognition for their shared love of the game and strong presence on the court.
The gathering was a surprise for the two players, who have shown that age is no barrier to staying active and enjoying the sport. The celebration highlighted their passion, consistency, and skill, inspiring players of all ages to stay involved.
