The Richland County Recreation Commission hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the launch, aiming to boost physical activity and social connection, especially among seniors.

The new courts are part of the Richland County Recreation Commission’s mission to support health and wellness. The project focuses on creating fun and safe ways for older adults to stay active.
Blythewood Mayor Sloan Griffin praised the courts as a great option for older adults who want to remain fit and engaged.
“That’s what makes me more excited to see our seniors in this community wanting to be active,”. “Not just sitting at home watching TV, but they’re out here participating in this growing sport.
