Harbor Island Park Pickleball Courts: SPORTIME Harbor Island has opened a new outdoor pickleball facility at Harbor Island Park in the Village of Mamaroneck, New York. The site includes four large, individually fenced courts. A grand opening and free community play event will take place on Saturday, July 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
New Home for Pickleball in Mamaroneck
The pickleball courts join the eight red-clay tennis courts that SPORTIME has managed year-round since 2002. These new courts will operate seasonally, from April to November, depending on the weather. The facility will offer court rentals, clinics, leagues, lessons, tournaments, and special events.
The courts are located in Harbor Island Park, often called the “Jewel of Mamaroneck.” The newly renovated clubhouse includes a lounge and updated locker rooms. SPORTIME will offer instruction and competitive programs in both tennis and pickleball for juniors and adults.
Carlos Campo, Managing Director of SPORTIME Westchester and Capital Region, said the club is ready to serve all levels of play.
“We are very proud to bring our new, best-in-class pickleball facility and our great pickleball programs and coaches to the Village of Mamaroneck. We cannot wait to welcome Village Residents and SPORTIME members and players, and to serve the broader Mamaroneck community around this fast growing sport,”(Carlos Campo).
“Whether you’re picking up a paddle for the first time or looking for high-level competitive play, SPORTIME Harbor Island is ready to serve you.”
Community Invited to Celebrate on July 19
The grand opening event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a chance for community members to try out the new courts. Coaches and staff will be on-site, and guests can enjoy light refreshments. The event is free and open to everyone.
SPORTIME pickleball memberships cost $20 per month. These include priority reservations, monthly perks, and access to other SPORTIME pickleball locations. Residents of the Village of Mamaroneck receive a 10% discount on membership, court time, and programs.
Building the Future of Pickleball in the Region
The new facility is expected to attract players from all over the area. SPORTIME hopes it will become a central spot for pickleball in Westchester County. With more interest in the sport, the club plans to grow its active community and bring people together through fun, fitness, and friendly competition.
