The Goshen Games will include competitive Pickleball and Cornhole tournaments, live music, outdoor games, and a professional wrestling show — all free to attend and open to the public. The event is hosted by Downtown Goshen, Inc. and is designed to bring the community together for fun and friendly competition.
Competitions and Entertainment
The Pickleball and Cornhole championships will be the highlight of the evening, drawing players from across the region. Friends and families are welcome to cheer from the sidelines as players compete for awards and community recognition.
Amanda Rose, Director of First Fridays, said,
“This event is interactive, inclusive, and energizing, and it’s equally fun for those who want to be a part of the action and those who want to simply take in the action.”
In addition to the tournaments, the Miller Poultry Main Stage will feature live musical performances. The band Backspacer will perform from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by After Ours from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The night will close with a set from the headliner, Heyzeus, from 8 to 9 p.m.
Food, Fun, and Community
Local restaurants and shops will join in the celebration with First Fridays food and drink specials for attendees. The festive atmosphere will offer something for everyone, including kids’ games and exciting activities throughout the evening.
Amanda Rose added, “It’s a thrill for people to be able to see their friends and family compete, and the Goshen Games presents the chance to partake in good-spirited competition. We’ll have games and activities for kids, a professional wrestling show, music and entertainment, and plenty of great options for enjoying Downtown Goshen. And, of course, bragging rights are on the line for area Cornhole and Pickleball players!”
A Boost for Downtown Goshen
The Goshen Games is not just about playing or watching — it’s a celebration of the city’s spirit and its vibrant downtown. It gives residents a chance to support local businesses, enjoy live entertainment, and connect with others in a fun, welcoming space.
Organizers hope the success of this year’s Goshen Games will help make it a recurring part of First Fridays, encouraging more people to get involved in community events and showcase the energy of The Maple City.
