Township Trustee Edward Whittaker said the courts provide an opportunity for people to be active outdoors and socialize. “It’s an extremely popular recreational activity, and we hope that it’ll be another opportunity for our residents to come on out, and you know, make a few new friends while putting their phones down and come on outside in the great outdoors,” Whittaker said.

The township invested $150,000 to build these courts, aiming to enhance local recreation options. The funding came from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), given by the county commissioners to support community projects.
