The expansion at Ayers Park follows the recent indoor upgrades at Criswell Park. Officials also said more changes are coming to other parks, like Meridian Park and the planned Park at the Grove.
Built by County Teams Working Together
The new courts were built with help from three county departments—Facilities, Public Works, and Parks & Recreation. These groups worked together to build the courts without hiring outside companies. This helped save money and made the project more affordable for the county.
Local Leaders Celebrate New Courts
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Friday to mark the opening of the new courts. Walton County Board of Commissioners Chairman David Thompson, Walton County Manager John Ward, and Between City Mayor Robert Post attended the event.
“This is a place for people to connect, compete, and stay healthy,” said David Thompson during the event.
