All Illinois Masters Pickleball Tournament: The All Illinois Masters pickleball tournament will take place from July 26 to July 27, 2025, at The Picklr Bloomington-Normal, located at 1503 East College Avenue in Normal, Illinois. Registration closes on July 23 at 8:00 AM CST. Entry costs $75, and players will compete in multiple brackets based on skill level and age.
The event is part of the 2025 Amateur Pickleball Association (APA) tour, which will host nearly 150 events throughout the year. The APA is the largest amateur tour in the U.S. and offers PicklePerks, a rewards program where players can earn money through participation and wins.
Tournament Format and Schedule
The event is open to players of all skill levels from 2.5 to 5.0. Competitors will be sorted first by skill and then by age, depending on total entries. Most players will play between 7 to 9 games over the weekend.
Saturday: Doubles matches start at 8:00 AM
Sunday: Mixed doubles begin at 8:00 AM
Singles matches: Will take place in the afternoon on either day
Each player is guaranteed at least 6 games. Doubles matches are round-robin style with games to 11 points, win by 2. Medal rounds will be best 2 of 3 sets. Singles will use rally scoring to 21 points, win by 2.
Players can register for multiple events:
First event: $75
Second event: $55
Third event: $35 (requires a discount code from the event director)
APA Guidelines and Divisions
According to the Amateur Pickleball Association, “Players with 25+ games posted to DUPR and a 60%+ reliability rating will play at their posted DUPR rating regardless of their assumed abilities. These posted expectations will be applied across the board to all players at all events.”
Refund and Weather Policies
All entries are final once paid. No refunds will be issued, but credits are available in some cases. A full credit is offered to players who withdraw at least two weeks before the event. Events affected by weather that prevent all matches from being played may offer a 50% credit. There will be no refunds for weather after matches begin.
If a player registers without a partner and APA cannot find one, the player will receive a credit—not a refund. Late entries not added to the schedule will also receive a credit. If a player changes partners within two weeks of the event, the new player must register and pay. The original player will receive a credit minus a $15 processing fee. No credit will be offered if APA must fill a last-minute team vacancy.
Prize Money for Top Teams
Players in the OPEN Doubles Cash Prize Division will compete for cash prizes. This division is open to all ages and skill levels and pays out as follows in divisions with 14 teams:
Gold Medal: $1,000
Silver Medal: $600
Bronze Medal: $400
Prize money is split with 50% going to gold, 30% to silver, and 20% to bronze winners.
