Woodlands Pickleball Courts Expansion: The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department has added 11 new pickleball courts at Creekwood Park and Windvale Park. Creekwood Park now has five new dedicated courts, while Windvale Park has six. These new courts opened as part of a plan to meet growing community demand for pickleball facilities.
The additions bring the total number of dedicated pickleball courts in The Woodlands to 19. Falconwing Park, which already had eight courts, was the first dedicated pickleball location in the area. The new courts are part of the Township’s ongoing work to improve recreation options based on public feedback.
Part of a Bigger Plan for Recreation
The new courts were developed in response to feedback from the Parks and Recreation Needs Assessment. This community survey helped the Township understand which amenities residents wanted most. Pickleball came out as a top priority.
To support this, The Woodlands Township Board of Directors approved funding for more pickleball courts. Their goal was to make the sport more available to the community.

Growing Pickleball in The Woodlands
These new courts show how The Woodlands is responding to the fast-growing interest in pickleball. With 19 total dedicated courts, more residents will now have the chance to play, practice, and compete locally.
The Township expects these improvements to support healthier lifestyles and stronger community connections. As more people take up the sport, further expansions may be considered.
