Inclusive Pickleball Tournament White Marsh: The Kennedy Krieger Institute is hosting Pickleball for All 2025, an all-day tournament on Saturday, September 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dill Dinkers Pickleball, 140 Merritt Way, White Marsh, Maryland. The event is open to players ages 16 and up of all skill levels and abilities.
An Accessible Tournament for Everyone
Pickleball for All 2025 is being called the area’s first fully accessible and adaptive pickleball tournament. The event invites both experienced players and complete beginners to join in. A special beginner’s clinic will be available for new players who want to learn the game before competing.
There will be division play for recreational and competitive players, along with adaptive matches that include teams made up of both adaptive and nonadaptive athletes. Participants can register alone or with a partner. Everyone is welcome on the court.
“Pickleball for All” welcomes players of all ages and abilities for a daylong tournament that includes a beginner’s clinic.
Fundraising for Adaptive Sports Programs
The event supports the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s adult adaptive sports and recreation program, which began in 2012. The program helps adults with disabilities stay active and healthy. Each year, it serves about 150 people who take part in sports such as handcycling, wheelchair lacrosse, and bowling.
All proceeds from the tournament go directly to this program. Registration starts at $35. Teams are encouraged to help raise additional funds. Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers in the event.
Game Format and Key Dates
The tournament will follow a round-robin format, ending with semi-final and final matches. This setup gives each team multiple games to play and a fair shot at reaching the finals.
Registration is now open and closes on Saturday, September 6. Players are encouraged to sign up early to secure a spot in this unique community event.
Building a Stronger, Inclusive Community
This tournament is about more than just winning. It aims to bring people of different abilities together on the court. With clinics, adaptive play, and fun competition, the day encourages inclusion, friendship, and support for a good cause. The Kennedy Krieger Institute hopes this will set an example for future events that welcome everyone.
