Ace Kids Pickleball Brings Excitement and Team Spirit to Frederick’s Young Athletes This Summer

Ace Kids Pickleball Frederick Program: Young players in Frederick, Maryland, can now join a new pickleball program called “Ace Kids Pickleball,” led by instructor Essam Laskar. This program will run every Thursday from July 31 to August 21, 2025, between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM at Urbana Community Park’s tennis courts.

Organized by Laskar Pickleball, the classes are designed for children who are new to pickleball or looking to improve their basic skills. The sessions aim to help kids learn how to play the sport while having fun and working as a team.

Teaching Pickleball the Fun Way

The program is being held on three courts: UCP Tennis Court #1, Court #2, and Court #3 at Urbana Community Park, located at 3636 Urbana Pike, Frederick, Maryland. Each session runs for one hour and focuses on learning through simple instruction, practice, and friendly games.

Essam Laskar, the lead instructor, will guide the children through key parts of the game. These include learning how to hold a paddle, hit the ball correctly, understand the rules, and play respectfully with others. The goal is to make sure all the kids feel supported and included while playing.

Building Skills and Confidence

Each Thursday evening, the courts will be filled with energy as kids learn how to serve, rally, and score points. The program’s structure also helps them improve coordination, balance, and fitness—all while building friendships.

Essam Laskar and the organizers have carefully created the sessions to promote teamwork, effort, and kindness on and off the court. It’s not just about learning a game—it’s about learning how to work together.

Encouraging the Next Generation

This initiative by Laskar Pickleball is expected to make a positive impact on the local youth by introducing them to one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States. Parents are encouraged to register their children in advance to reserve a spot in this limited program.

As the popularity of pickleball grows, events like “Ace Kids Pickleball” play an important role in spreading awareness and encouraging physical activity among young people. With programs like these, more children are likely to pick up a paddle and enjoy a healthy, social sport that welcomes players of all ages.
