Urbana Park Youth Pickleball Program: A new youth pickleball program began on July 31, 2025, at Urbana Community Park in Frederick, Maryland. The sessions, led by coach Essam Laskar, are held every Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and will run until August 21, 2025. Training Sessions for Teen Athletes
The “All-Star Youth Power Pickleball!” program is held at the tennis courts in Urbana Community Park. Participants train at Courts 1, 2, and 3. The sessions focus on skills, strategy, and sportsmanship. Each one-hour class gives young players a chance to compete, learn, and grow in a fun environment.
Led by Experienced Coach
Essam Laskar, an experienced pickleball instructor, is leading the training. With his guidance, teens are learning both the basics and more advanced techniques of the sport. The program helps players become more confident on the court while enjoying healthy competition.
