“There will be casual play from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. for $15 a person and if you don’t have a raquet don’t worry we will provide you with one,” said Courtney VanCleave, Senior Director of Development and Foundation Executive Director. “The Tournament takes place 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and it’s $45 and there are various prizes for the winners.”
The Pikes Peak Library District Foundation is using this event as a way to combine fun, fitness, and fundraising.
A Way to Celebrate Summer and Support
Pickleball has become the fastest-growing sport in the United States. This tournament is a fun way to enjoy the last part of summer while helping the local library system.
Courtney VanCleave shared the details during an interview with Justin, host of Loving Living Local. The event is open to all skill levels. People who don’t have a paddle can borrow one at the venue.
The tournament offers prizes for the winners and a chance for the community to spend time together while giving back.
Community Impact and Future Benefits
All the money raised at the tournament will support the Pikes Peak Library District. This helps improve library programs, services, and community outreach.
The event brings together library supporters and local players to enjoy a fun evening for a good cause.
As interest in pickleball continues to grow, events like this could become more common in the future. They offer a great way to bring the community together while raising money for local needs.
