Curious About Pickleball? North Park Launches Beginner Lessons This Fall

North Park Beginner Pickleball Lessons: Pickleball lessons for adult beginners will be offered by instructor Karla Blaginin starting October 22, 2025, at North Park Pickleball Courts in Alpharetta, Georgia. The five-week course will run every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., providing structured training for brand-new players.

These lessons are meant for adults with no prior experience in pickleball. The goal is to introduce them to the basic skills and rules of the game in a supportive environment. Classes will take place on outdoor courts 1 and 2 at North Park, located at 13450 Cogburn Road.

Class Format and Schedule

Participants must commit to the full five-week session, running from October 22 through November 19. Each weekly class lasts for 90 minutes and is held every Wednesday morning. The program is not set up for drop-in participation.

In case of rain or other problems, lessons may move indoors to a backup location at Crabapple, 12624 Broadwell Road. This change is designed to ensure classes continue without interruption.

There are no make-up classes or refunds for any missed sessions. All players are expected to attend regularly for the full benefit of the course.

Instructor and Learning Environment

Karla Blaginin will lead the sessions. She has experience working with players at the beginner level and is focused on helping newcomers feel confident on the court.

This course is designed to be simple, fun, and easy to follow. Players will be taught the game from scratch, focusing on basic movements, serving, scoring, and safety on the court.

Program Requirements and Age Group

The program is open to adults only. All classes will be held on the designated courts at North Park unless moved indoors. Participants must sign up in advance for the full five weeks.

“This is not a drop in class, you must sign up for the entire 5 week session. Refunds/prorated charges can not be made for classes you cannot attend.”

Why It Matters

Pickleball is growing fast in Alpharetta and across the country. These beginner classes make the sport more accessible to people who are just starting out. The five-week format ensures that players can learn in a steady and supportive way.

By offering regular beginner sessions, the program helps expand community interest in the sport and build new player confidence. With Karla Blaginin’s guidance, first-timers will be able to enjoy the game and take their first steps into pickleball.
