Pickleball Meets Nightlife: Worthington’s PickleCrawl Promises Unforgettable Games, Drinks, and Fun

PickleCrawl Pickleball Bar Crawl Event: A unique mix of pickleball and nightlife is coming to Worthington, Ohio, on August 1, 2025. The PickleCrawl event will start at PaddleTaps, located at 535 Lakeview Plaza Boulevard, where players will enjoy two hours of pickleball from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The night continues with a bar hop to two local favorites: Level One Bar + Arcade and The Derby Worthington. Tickets are free to claim online, but a $15 cash fee is required at check-in for pickleball and a drink ticket.

Fun Starts at PaddleTaps

Guests should arrive at PaddleTaps between 7:30 PM and 7:45 PM to check in, warm up, and get ready to play. PaddleTaps is known for being one of the largest climate-controlled pickleball venues in the area, with 17 indoor courts. Paddles and balls will be provided, and friendly instructors will be available to help beginners.

“Even if you have never played, at $15 it would be well worth checking out especially since that gets you 2 hour’s of Pickleball + a Drink ticket,” the organizers shared.

Participants are asked to bring $15 in cash to speed up the check-in process. Comfortable athletic wear, such as shorts, a T-shirt, and tennis shoes, is recommended.

The event is co-hosted with Columbus Social Connection. Attendees should RSVP with only one group through Meetup and mention they are with Meetup at check-in.

After-Party with Games and Drinks

Once the games wrap up around 10:00 PM, the bar crawl begins. First stop: Level One Bar + Arcade, where guests can enjoy free arcade games and a fun, laid-back vibe.

Then, the group heads to The Derby Worthington, formerly known as Slapsy Maxie’s. The Derby offers pool, darts, and affordable drinks, making it another great spot to hang out. Both bars allow outside food, so attendees are welcome to bring snacks or have something delivered.

“Whether you’re competitive on the court or just in it for the crawl — come have a blast with us!” the hosts said.
