Viva Padel & Pickleball Club: Just in time for National Pickleball Day on August 8, Philadelphia has welcomed its first dedicated outdoor facility for both padel and pickleball. Viva Padel & Pickleball Club, located at 1300 N. 8th Street, opened in June and is already attracting attention for its unique offering.
Created by a group of three friends, the club features four outdoor padel courts and four outdoor pickleball courts. The founders say they saw a gap in the city’s sports scene and decided to take action. Their goal was to bring a high-quality outdoor space where fans of both sports could play, socialize, and compete.
More Courts Coming Soon
With a successful launch already under their belt, the team behind Viva is planning to open a second, indoor facility in Flourtown later this fall. This expansion will allow for year-round play, no matter the weather.
Players can pay for one-time access or choose a monthly membership, with plans starting at $50. The club’s pay-and-play model is designed to welcome beginners and regulars alike.
A Growing Trend in Philadelphia
The opening of Viva Padel & Pickleball Club reflects a growing trend across the country and especially in urban areas like Philadelphia. As interest in both padel and pickleball rises, more people are seeking accessible and modern places to play.
Whether you’re looking to try something new or are already a fan of the game, Viva offers a one-of-a-kind experience—right in the heart of the city.
