Elite Players, Big Prizes: SEMO Showdown Pickleball Tournament Set to Electrify Jackson This Sunday

Freedom Fitness in Jackson, Missouri, is set to host the SEMO Showdown Pickleball Tournament on Sunday, August 3, 2025. The tournament will take place at 2336 Old Orchard Road and feature 14 elite teams and 28 top-ranked players competing for $1,750 in prize money. Entry is free to the public.

Full Day of Competition

The event schedule begins at 9:00 a.m. with warm-ups, followed by a special dedication at 9:50 a.m. Tournament play starts at 10:00 a.m. and will include six guaranteed rounds. Playoffs are set to begin at 1:00 p.m., and the awards ceremony will take place at 3:00 p.m.

The SEMO Showdown will highlight athletes ranked 5.0 or higher, promising high-quality matches throughout the day. Freedom Fitness General Manager Jonathan Moore and Sales Manager Eli Stein will also compete as a team in the tournament.

New Courts and Community Experience

Freedom Fitness recently added six brand-new pickleball courts to support the growing demand for the sport. These new courts are part of the facility’s effort to become a major pickleball hub in the area.

Food and drinks will be provided to attendees. The event is open to all and designed to be fun for families, friends, and pickleball fans. Media and press are also invited to cover the tournament.
