Pin Point Raleigh Pickleball Tournament: The Pin Point Raleigh x Cloud Giants Pickleball Tournament will take place on August 8, 2025, at Pin Point, 2201 South Wilmington Street in Raleigh, North Carolina. Hosted by Hunter Weinberg, the event begins at 2 p.m., with player check-in at 1 p.m. Registration ends August 4.
Players must sign up and pay as a team, with each participant paying $65. The tournament features multiple brackets and is open to all ages and skill levels.
Tournament Format and Divisions
The event includes five divisions:
Beginner Coed (All Ages)
Men’s Doubles 3.5–4.0 (All Ages)
Women’s Doubles 3.5–4.0 (All Ages)
Men’s Doubles 4.0+ (All Ages)
Women’s Doubles 4.0+ (All Ages)
Each division follows a pool play format leading to playoffs. Brackets are limited to a maximum of 10 teams, split into two pools. Teams will play a round robin—one game to 11 points, win by 2. The top two teams from each pool will move to the playoffs.
Playoff and Scoring Rules
In the semifinals, teams will play one game to 15 points using traditional scoring. In the finals, the format changes to a best-of-three games, each played to 11 points, also using traditional scoring rules.
All matches will follow the standard USA Pickleball rules, and the official tournament ball will be the X-40.
DUPR and Sportsmanship Guidelines
The event includes DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) eligibility for all brackets except the beginner division. Games in eligible divisions will be submitted to DUPR for rating.
Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. Fighting is strictly banned and will lead to ejection from the tournament.
Line calls must be made honestly. In case of doubt, the point goes to the opponent. Players must monitor their own team’s foot faults, but the receiving team may also call them. If players can’t agree, they must replay the point or give the point to the opponent.
The tournament has a strict no-refund, no-cancellation policy once registration is complete.
