Paddle Up Ignites Pickleball Craze with Grand Chesterfield Club—Tournaments, Training, and More Await

Paddle Up Pickleball Club Chesterfield Launch: Paddle Up Pickleball Club has opened a new indoor facility at The District in Chesterfield Valley. The club, which launched its original location in Lake Saint Louis, began welcoming players to the 23,000-square-foot Chesterfield site on July 21, 2025. The new club offers lessons, tournaments, memberships, and drop-in options for players at all levels.

A Growing Pickleball Presence

The Chesterfield club is the second Paddle Up location. It features six courts, an equipment rental program, and a pro shop. Players can choose from monthly or yearly memberships or pay a one-time fee to play. Court reservations are available online, and open play events are regularly held.

“We’re psyched to bring what we’ve learned from Lake St. Louis to Chesterfield,”

Paddle Up co-owner Matt Lanholt said in a news release.

“We were the first indoor pickleball-only club in St. Charles County, and we can’t wait to expand that energy here.”

Training for All Skill Levels

Paddle Up offers classes for players of all experience levels. New players can join beginner clinics to learn the basics. More experienced players can take intermediate, finesse, and advanced programs to improve their skills.

The club also runs lessons and informal games for members looking to play in a relaxed setting or sharpen their competitive edge.

Tournament and Community Involvement

Paddle Up will host its first tournament in Chesterfield from August 22 to August 24, 2025. The 2025 Summer Smash will include singles, doubles, and triples competitions. Both members and non-members can sign up to compete.

The new location is part of The District’s larger push to become a major entertainment hub in the metro area. Paddle Up joins a mix of local businesses that includes arcades, martial arts, and food spots.

“We spoke to a lot of pickleball operators,”

said Michael Staenberg, the owner and developer of The District.

“But Matt and (co-owner Jon Richert) stood out for their energy, insight, and market knowledge. That’s a winning combination, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to our expanding portfolio of sports and entertainment offerings at The District.”

Future Expansion on the Horizon

In addition to the Chesterfield site, Paddle Up is preparing to open a third location in Quincy, Illinois. That club is expected to launch by the end of 2025. The company continues to grow as interest in pickleball spreads across the region.
