Former Pro Pickleball Stars Ignite Great Falls With Skill-Building Event—Locals Invited to Join the Action

Pickleball Experience Great Falls Event: The Pickleball Experience, a global tour led by former professional players, arrived in Great Falls, Montana, on Friday, August 9, 2025. The event took place at the C.M. Russell High School tennis courts to help local players improve their pickleball skills and enjoy the sport.

Former Pros Bring Expertise to Great Falls

The tour is guided by former professional players Jemuel Morris and Brian Ashworth, along with a third instructor. Morris praised the community, saying,

“The people here are amazing. We are so blessed that we get to come out to different communities like this and teach pickleball for a living.

Ashworth shared his passion for teaching, explaining,

“Playing was a lot of fun, but teaching has become my new passion… Everybody learns a little different.”

Both instructors have strong Montana connections. Morris studied at Carroll College in Helena, while Ashworth grew up in Billings. Morris said,

“Really nice to kind of come back and connect with some of our roots.”

Ashworth added,

“I love coming back here. I think I appreciate it now more that I’ve left, and just (seeing) how much the sport has grown in Montana is just amazing.”

Local Club Supports the Tour

Electric City Pickleball president Janna Reynolds helped bring the event to Great Falls. She found out about the tour while in Billings and invited the instructors to stop by. Reynolds said,

“I learned so much, just really enjoyed it. I think I elevated my game a little bit, and it was really cool because you get one-on-one, and so they kind of pointed out some things that I actually specifically needed to work on.”

Passion and Community Impact

Morris emphasized the importance of local players, saying,

“It’s our passion. Without the people that want to learn, we don’t get to do what we love. So we’re very grateful for all the people that want to come out and learn. It’s always special for us.”

Ashworth highlighted the sport’s accessibility:

“Little kids can play, grandparents can play it… Anybody can come out here, you have fun, you laugh, you joke, you talk a little trash, it’s pretty great.”

Registration remains open for Sunday’s sessions from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
