PB Club Pickleball Court Jersey City: Jersey City will soon welcome its first dedicated indoor pickleball facility. PB Club is opening at the Twin City Shopping Center, a 95,000-square-foot property at Garfield Avenue/Broadway and 53rd Street. The 8,350-square-foot club will offer year-round play for the nation’s fastest-growing sport.
PB Club is owned by Ari Saposh and his wife, Naomi. The facility will feature three professional indoor courts, a water station, vending and snack options, paddle racks, stools, and a lounge with co-working space.
“Our co-working space allows people who work remotely to utilize our private, sound-proof area while meeting others with a shared interest in pickleball,”
said Ari Saposh.
“Jersey City is the anchor of Hudson County. PB Club is a new opportunity in the community for those who enjoy the sport, and we are excited to give residents the chance to play year-round in a brand-new climate-controlled facility.”
Growing demand for pickleball
Pickleball combines tennis, table tennis, and badminton. Its popularity has surged nationwide. According to pickleheads.com, 19.8 million people played in 2024, a 45.8% increase from the previous year. There are now more than 68,000 courts in the U.S. PB Club is the first facility in Jersey City dedicated solely to the sport.
Levin Management Corporation (LMC) manages and leases Twin City Shopping Center. LMC leasing representative Nicole Anderocci arranged the lease for the property owners.
“PB Club brings an exciting new energy to Twin City Shopping Center, and we’re proud to be part of its launch in Jersey City,”
said Nicole Anderocci.
“This lease reflects our commitment to curating tenant mixes that evolve beyond traditional retail to include recreation and community engagement.
As Jersey City’s first dedicated indoor pickleball facility, PB Club not only diversifies our offerings but also enhances the area’s recreational landscape.”
Expansion plans ahead
The Saposh family plans to open three PB Club locations in Hudson County within 18 months. The Twin City Shopping Center location is near the Jersey City/Bayonne border, just off Exit 14A of the New Jersey Turnpike. The center serves over 187,000 residents within three miles.
